A couple of weeks before your puppy comes home, we recommend gathering a few essentials to help make the transition as smooth as possible. The products on our recommended list have been carefully selected based on our own research and firsthand experience raising and caring for our dogs.

Once your puppy is about 4 months old, I recommend gradually introducing a different pawTree recipe, such as Real Lamb, Chickpeas & Lentils, and then rotating to a new recipe every few months. Exposing puppies to a variety of proteins and ingredients during their first year can help build digestive tolerance and flexibility. If you'd like to offer a fish-based recipe, I suggest choosing Real Salmon over Real Trout or Real Whitefish for growing puppies, as it provides the higher protein and fat levels needed to support healthy growth and development.
A note about grain-free recipes: I strongly recommend mixing any grain-free recipe with a grain-containing recipe.
